How to Make Your Church Uncomfortable

“Our social activism or politics won’t save anyone, but it could still help someone and show that the message we speak makes a difference in our lives.”

I think this is the right way to approach social activism as Christians. We shouldn’t make it the core of who we are, but we should view it as an outpour of Gospel-centered living. If we’re able to do so, we expand our audience beyond those whom we might’ve befriended through shared social activism to those in the church who ought to be challenged by the things that we believe come from living out the Gospel. Be willing to change the church culture, but be willing to let the Gospel change you.
