Social justice and the traditional church seem, as of late, to largely be at odds with one another. Part of this has to do with deep-rooted ideological differences (i.e., the perceived liberal-conservative gap), but part of this is also due to the Church’s lack of practiced faith and gospel living. How can we motivate those around us in the church to seek justice, correct oppression, bring justice to the fatherless, and plead the widow’s cause (Isaiah 1)?
